Finding the Correct Position

The psoas and iliacus muscles lie deep at the front of the hip. Before applying pressure, take a moment to locate the correct area.

Where to place the PSO-RITE peak on your body

Step 1 — Find the Psoas
Place one peak between your belly button and the inside edge of your hip bone (pelvis). This is the primary starting position.

Step 2 — Target the Iliacus
Rotate the PSO-RITE slightly so the working peak follows the inside curve of the pelvic bone.

Tip: Everyone's anatomy is slightly different. Use slow, small adjustments to find the area that feels tight or tender. Stay relaxed and avoid forcing the tool into position.

How to Use the PSO-RITE®

Step 1 — Position the Working Peak

Place one peak into the target area between your belly button and the inside edge of your hip bone. Keep most of your weight supported by your forearms and knees until you are ready to apply pressure.

Getting Into Position

Getting into position over the PSO-RITE

Place the PSO-RITE on the floor. Carefully position yourself over the top of it, using both elbows to support and control your body. Slowly lower yourself onto the working peak — do not drop your full weight onto the tool all at once.

Step 2 — Apply Steady Pressure

Applying steady downward pressure onto the PSO-RITE peak

Take a deep breath in, then slowly exhale as you gently lower your body onto the working peak. You should feel firm, steady pressure and possibly mild discomfort around the muscle. Hold for 30–60 seconds.

Go slow: The goal is controlled pressure, not forcing yourself down. Keep breathing and stay in control.

Step 3 — Gently Rock Side to Side

Rocking side to side over the PSO-RITE peak

Keeping the PSO-RITE in the same position, slowly rock your body from side to side using small, controlled movements. The tool should stay still on the floor while your body gently shifts over the working peak.

Remember: Move slowly. Stay in control. Firm pressure is expected, but sharp or excessive pain is a sign to reduce pressure or stop.
